Gemma Donnelly’s side face Oxford United Women in the FA Cup Third Round this Sunday.
Here’s our guide to the game…
STATE OF PLAY
Rovers Ladies have won every game this season, including 10 out of 10 in the league.
The Blues beat Wolves Women 4-0 away from home in the last round, thanks to goals from Bethany Donoghue, Alex Taylor and Jess Holbrook.
Gemma Donnelly’s side also made light work of Portsmouth Women at this stage of the competition last season, beating the coastal side 7-0.
In 2017/18, the Blues reached the Fourth Round of the competition before going out to Charlton Athletic.
Rovers will be without Lagan Makin, who is recovering from an operation she had just before Christmas. Donnelly hopes that it won’t keep the winger out for too long.
Alex Taylor is also unavailable for the clash and Ellie Stewart remains a long-term absentee with a ACL rupture, but everybody else is expected to be fit and available for selection.
Oxford United Women sit in sixth position in the Southern Premier Division, with 16 points from their opening 10 games in the league.
United beat Cambridge United Women 4-0 in the previous round of the FA Cup – the last competitive game they played, in early December.
They are on a six game unbeaten streak in all competitions, a run which included an 18-0 win away from home.
The Third Round tie will be played at Oxford’s Court Place Farm, Marsh Lane. Kick-off is scheduled for 2pm on Sunday 6 January.
