Tony Mowbray has revealed that his injury list is getting shorter, with a number of his key players back available for this weekend's clash against Ipswich Town.
The likes of skipper Charlie Mulgrew, Derrick Williams, Jack Rodwell and Paul Downing were all unavailable for selection against Newcastle United in midweek due to injury and illness.
But all four are back in contention to tackle the Tractor Boys, whilst midfielder Corry Evans could also be available after limping off at Millwall last weekend.
“I think a few days on from the Newcastle game, the lads that were ill are all training today," the boss told iFollow Rovers.
"We will assess them after training today and then tomorrow, to make sure they are ready and fit to go.
“Of those that were injured, I think the signs are looking quite positive on them. Fingers crossed we will have choices to make and defenders back available.
“Corry trained today and hopefully there will be no reaction and he’ll be an option for us in midfield.
“We all want as many players as possible fit and available. It takes any excuses away and it does give you choices to make. I’ll have to let players down gently and have conversations.
"I’d rather too many players to pick from rather than not enough."
