Following three consecutive victories in the Championship, Rovers midfielder Joe Rothwell says it's crucial that the team keep their foot on the pedal.
A revitalised Hull City visit Ewood Park this weekend, and with the Tigers being on a 10-game unbeaten run in the Championship, Rothwell says Rovers are prepared for a tricky test.
However, with Rovers being in fine form themselves, with the latest win coming at home to Ipswich Town last weekend, Joe believes the team have belief heading into the clash against Nigel Adkins' outfit.
“We knew it was a game we probably had to win with Ipswich being where they are," the midfield man said ahead of the Tigers visiting East Lancashire.
“We looked at our fixtures and picked out these as a chance to move up the table. To come on and help the team get the three points was important.
“You can’t look too far ahead though, you have to focus on the next game. I felt we did that, and now our focus turns to Hull who are on a good run themselves.
“But we’re at home and I’d like to think we can go out there and get another three points.”
“That’s what we said when we looked at the fixtures and where we were in the table and how many points we were away from the top six.
“We knew there might be a chance of us being able to win games back-to-back and push ourselves right up there.
“We jumped four places just with the win on Saturday so will go against this weekend and hopefully another three points can push us even higher.”
