Joe Nuttall said it was an "amazing feeling" to score his first goal in the Championship to help Rovers to a crucial victory at Millwall.
Nuttall, starting for the first time in the league since August, found the net with five minutes to play to put the visitors ahead at The Den.
Adam Armstrong followed that up by curling home Rovers' second in south London, and Nuttall was thrilled to return north with all three points.
“We knew it would be a battle. We knew we’d also have to be patient. In the end, the substitutes made a real impact," he said to iFollow Rovers after the game.
“It was a frustrating game. There wasn’t many chances, it was about battling up there and seeing what you could do.
“I got across the six yard box and the defender’s tried to clear it. Fortunately it’s hit me in the face and gone in.
“It was an amazing feeling, especially to score in front of our fans, who made the long journey down to support us in their numbers.
“It’s a great feeling to score for the first team in the Championship."
