Rovers are pleased to announce the permanent signing of promising Northern Irish midfielder Brad Lyons.
The 21-year-old joined Rovers on loan from Coleraine in August and has now put pen-to-paper on an 18-month deal through to June 2020.
An attack-minded midfielder, Lyons has impressed for Rovers' Under-23s during the first half of the 2018-19 season, scoring three goals in 13 appearances for Damien Johnson's side.
After opening his account in the 3-1 victory over Swansea City in December, Lyons followed that up with a brilliant brace in the 4-0 victory away to Arsenal in Rovers' next Premier League 2 outing.
The bright prospect, who made over 100 appearances for Coleraine after progressing through their youth ranks, has trained with Rovers' first team in recent weeks and will now hope to force his way into manager Tony Mowbray's senior side.
Lyons becomes Rovers' second January signing, after Ben Brereton completed a permanent switch from Nottingham Forest.
