David Raya wants Rovers to continue earning shutouts when Hull City make the trip to East Lancashire for Saturday's clash at Ewood Park.

The goalkeeper, who has seven clean sheets to his name this term, has been in fine form in recent weeks, with back-to-back shutouts against Millwall and then Ipswich Town last weekend.

One of those seven clean sheets came at Hull towards the start of the campaign, and Raya is keen to earn another against the Tigers this weekend.

“I’ve been really pleased with back-to-back clean sheets," Raya reflected to iFollow Rovers ahead of the encounter with Nigel Adkins' outfit.

"Millwall was a tough place to go and was our first clean sheet since October.

“We got another one last week, so we want to keep that going and see where it takes us.

“I’ve always said that three points are the main thing, but it’s always nice to get clean sheets. It’s not just me though, it starts with the forward players pressing from the front.

“It’s a team effort. If we carry on how we’ve been defending these last couple of games then we back ourselves to get those clean sheets on a regular basis."
