Rovers are pleased to announce that defender Sam Hart has extended his contract at Ewood Park by a further year.
The left-back's stay in East Lancashire will now last until the summer of 2020.
Hart, who is currently on loan at League One side Southend United, made a deadline day move to Rovers in August 2017, signing a two-year deal with the option of an extra 12 months.
The full-back, who spent the first part of this campaign on loan at Rochdale, joined Southend in search of regular first team football, having not played for Rovers since December 2017.
The 22-year-old appeared 13 times for Rochdale, before returning to Ewood Park earlier this month.
The promising youngster enjoyed a dream debut for Southend at the weekend, playing the full 90 minutes in a 4-0 win away to Bradford.
Hart has appeared seven times in all competitions for Rovers.
