Rovers Ladies striker Natasha Flint was delighted to fire the Blues through to the Fourth Round of the SSE Women’s FA Cup by scoring two goals, including a 90th minute winner.
Rovers were made to work hard for their victory, going a goal down at the end of the first-half.
But a moment of magic from Flint pulled Gemma Donnelly’s side level, before another piece of individual brilliance from the forward late on sealed their progression.
Flint said: “It’s always great to win cup games. Being through to the next round is brilliant.”
“I think we made the game a lot harder for ourselves today, which is never a good start.
“But the girls pushed hard to get the win in the end. We had to dig deep, as we always do every game.”
Speaking ahead of drawing Super League side West Ham United Women away in the next round of the competition, Flint added: “I wouldn’t mind who we draw to be honest, it’s all an experience in my eyes.
“But hopefully it’ll be another win for us.”
Flint is Rovers’ top scorer in all competitions this season, having hit the net 26 times in just 16 games.
But the England Under-23 international does not have a target in her sights.
“I don’t have a target to hit with my goals. It’s always good to get on the score sheet, but what’s more important is that we win.”
The Blues face a tough test away to Huddersfield Town Ladies on Sunday, when they return to league action. And Flint is eager to get back on the pitch.
“I’m looking forward to it. I’m not really sure how it’ll go as I’ve not seen Huddersfield play this season.
“But I don’t think we’ll have to worry about the opposition, we have to just concentrate on ourselves to try and get the three points.”
