Rovers defender Paul Downing has today joined League One side Doncaster Rovers on loan until the end of the season.
The 27-year-old joined Rovers from MK Dons in August 2017, initially on loan, before the move was made permanent last January, signing an 18-month deal.
Deputising for the injured Darragh Lenihan, Downing played a pivotal role in Rovers' promotion from League One last season, starting 26 league games and scoring in the 4-2 win at Blackpool.
However, he has found first team opportunities limited this term, starting just three Championship games, having also scored in the 4-1 League Cup victory over Lincoln City in August.
Downing, who made 34 appearances in a Rovers shirt, has been given permission to play for Doncaster in their FA Cup fourth round tie at home to Oldham Athletic this weekend.
The South Yorkshire side are currently seventh in League One, just one point outside the play-off positions.
The club would like to wish Paul well during his time at the Keepmoat Stadium.
