Rovers playmaker Bradley Dack is hoping he and the team can "treat" fans to something special when Newcastle United come to Ewood Park next week.
Rovers top scorer so far this season found the net against the Magpies on Saturday before Matt Ritchie's late penalty ensured a cup replay back in East Lancashire.
Dack's 13th goal of the season in all competitions was a rare header, and whilst he was pleased to find the net again, was a little frustrated that the tie will now go to a replay.
“I don't score many headers, but it was a great ball in from Benno [Elliott Bennett]," the number 23 told iFollow Rovers.
"It was on a plate for me really and it was nice to see it fly into the roof of the net.
“We more than deserved the draw, we played really well, especially without the ball. With the ball, we kept it nicely.
“They had a few corners and we managed to weather a storm. They got a late penalty, and that happens in football.
“It shows how well we're played that we were disappointed to draw. The spirit and character in this side is pretty special."
And the former Gillingham man is now hoping that a bumper crowd can roar Rovers onto victory and into the fourth round of the competition next week.
“I've played against Premier League opposition at Ewood Park only in pre-season, so it will be nice to play against a top side in a competitive match," he added.
“Hopefully we can get a big crowd in and treat them to something really special. The fans were amazing at Newcastle, and we all know how great our support is away from home.
“They make so much noise for us, win, lose or draw. They helped us through the game at St James' Park, for sure."
