We'll give our all to progress

"That will be another tough game, but it will be a good venue for the lads to go and pit their wits against another different type of team and one we don’t play regularly"

Rovers Under-23s head to Doncaster Rovers tonight knowing a win will seal progress into the knockout stages of the Premier League Cup.

Following Everton Under-23s' victory at home to Sheffield United Under-23s, Damien Johnson's side have to beat Donny at the Keepmoat Stadium to earn a spot in the top two of Group B.

Whatever happens on the night, the hosts can't climb off the bottom of the group, but Johnson knows his side can't allow their guard to slip and get complacent.

Rovers beat Donny at Leyland earlier in the season, with Joe Nuttall scoring all four goals in the 4-0 victory.

"We have to concentrate on trying to get the job done at Doncaster," Johnson said ahead of the game.

“That will be another tough game, but it will be a good venue for the lads to go and pit their wits against another different type of team and one we don’t play regularly.

“It’s something we can look forward to.”
