We may have to be patient

“Any team that wins seven or eight games on the bounce is doing something spectacularly right"

Tony Mowbray insists his Rovers side may have to be patient for opportunities arrive when in form Bristol City visit Ewood Park on Saturday afternoon.

Lee Johnson's Robins have won their last seven games in all competitions coming into the encounter in East Lancashire.

Rovers themselves are in fine fettle with 12 points from their last five Championship outings, and whilst having plenty of belief in his squad, is expecting a real battle against City.

“Bristol City are a similar test to what Hull were last time at Ewood," the boss said.

"They have had some fantastic results both home and away.

“Any team that wins seven or eight games on the bounce is doing something spectacularly right. They are good on the ball, good without the ball as well and keep clean sheets.

“Again, I ask our supporters to come along and have patience, because we’re playing against a very good team.

“It’s a big test for us. We can’t just turn up and roll them over.

“It’s a test that hopefully we will rise to, our big players turn up and we hopefully get the points."
