Rovers are pleased to announce that Academy graduate Tyler Magloire has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The 20-year-old defender has put pen-to-paper on a three-and-a-half-year deal, keeping him at Ewood Park until the summer of 2022.

Magloire joined the club at the age of nine and has progressed through Rovers' youth ranks.

The versatile youngster, who can play anywhere across the back-line, has been a regular with Rovers' Under-23s over the past two years and helped Damien Johnson's side secure the Premier League 2 Division 2 title last season.

Magloire has captained the Under-23s in the top flight this season and is delighted that his long association with the club is set to continue for the foreseeable future.

"I'm very happy," said the centre-back, who is one of the fastest players on the club's books.

"I've been here a long time and I'm just happy that I can continue improving and moving forward.

"I think this is a good place for me to be, so I'm very pleased.

"This club means a lot to me. They've put a lot of time into me and I'm very grateful to everybody here who's done that for me and I just hope that I can pay something back in the future.

"I joined as a nine-year-old and my main aspiration was to play for the first team, so I'm happy that I'm edging closer every day."
