Rovers Ladies beat Fylde Ladies 3-0 in a full-throttle encounter at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium on Thursday evening.
Gemma Donnelly’s side showed their class with a dominant performance to sweep aside rivals Fylde and extend the Blues’ lead at the top of the table to 11 points.
All the damage was done in the opening 45 minutes thanks to three superbly taken goals by Jordan.
There was also a return to remember for goalkeeper Danielle Hill, who kept a clean sheet on her first game back – just hours after coming out of retirement to re-sign for the club.
There were signs of danger right from the off. Natasha Flint’s strike was expertly tipped over the bar by Brittany Jackson before Rovers had the ball in the net.
Jordan turned in Natasha Fenton’s low cross from close range only for the offside flag to prevent her scoring the opener.
But she wouldn’t be denied for long, breaking the deadlock on 27 minutes, clinically finishing inside the area from a Lauren Davies cutback to give Rovers a much deserved lead.
It was soon two as the home side asserted their dominance on the game. Jordan again the scorer, racing through on goal before sliding the ball past Jackson and into the far corner.
The striker completed a first-half hat-trick before the break, bravely heading home after Davies’ cross was tipped up into the air by Jackson, to score her 28th goal of the season.
At the other end, Emily Hollinshead gave Hill a bit of work to do on her return, but the Rovers stopper comfortably dealt with her effort, and had little else to do.
Jackson thwarted Rovers’ attempts to add further gloss to the scoreline late on, saving shots from Jess Holbrook and Jordan - but by then the three points were already in the bag.
Rovers are straight back in action on Sunday, at home to Middlesbrough at the Sir Tom Finney Stadium, (2pm).
