Rovers Ladies travel to face league rivals Huddersfield in the FAWNL Cup Quarter-Final on Sunday.
The winner of the tie will host Loughborough Foxes of the Southern Premier Division in the Semi-Final.
Manager Gemma Donnelly said: “It’s a cup game with all to play for to reach the Semi-Final. Anything can happen.
“Having played them already this season, I would say we’re considered favourites for the game.
Rovers were 4-3 victors away at Huddersfield in a thrilling encounter earlier this season.
Natasha Flint, Saffron Jordan, Lynda Shepherd and Jess Holbrook were all on the scoresheet for the Blues, against one of their main title rivals.
“They’ve proved a really difficult team for us to play against and it was no different when we met them this season.
“I’m sure they’ll be plenty of goals for both sides. Huddersfield aren’t shy of scoring against us and likewise us against them.”
Donnelly is waiting for news on the fitness of both Natasha Fenton and Natasha Flint, while Rovers are hoping to bring in a new goalkeeper on loan to cover the injured Danielle Gibbons and Danielle Hill.
“It will be a tough game irrespective of who is injured, given the opportunity to progress further in the competition. And with us being current holders, we’ll be doing all we can. I know the players will be ready for the challenge.”
Rovers have come through games against Sunderland, Fylde and Middlesbrough with nine points – all played within eight days.
“It’s always tough to play so many games. Albeit the players are fit, it’s a different intensity to training when you’re not used to playing so much.
“To move us further away from Huddersfield and Sunderland it was a big ask, given who we were playing.
“It was fantastic for the players and it relives a little bit of pressure in the league while we concentrate on the League Cup this weekend.”
