Young Rovers midfielder Ben Paton has signed a new contract with the club.
The Canadian youth international has put pen-to-paper on a deal which will keep him at Ewood Park until June 2020.
A versatile footballer, Paton has featured regularly for Rovers Under-23s this season and scored a stunning free-kick in the 7-1 thrashing of Leicester City earlier this month.
Having joined the club's Academy as an Under-15, Paton has progressed through the age groups and has his sights set on one day representing Rovers' first team.
"I'm buzzing," said the 18-year-old. "I love the club and I love playing every day - getting to do what you love to do every single day - and I'm just happy to continue it.
"The club is so welcoming and they're always there for you. The positive environment and profesisonal attitude that everyone has is what makes it such a great club.
"The standard in training and in games is amazing and it's great to be part of the (Under-23s) group.
"I feel like we've done well this season to compete with all the top clubs in the country and get results.
"Everyone's goal here is to try and get into the first team and do well under the manager, and I'm no different.
"I've had a few ups and downs this season with injuries, but hopefully good things will happen in the future."
