No need to bed in for returning Rover Harry Chapman, as the winger explains...

Harry Chapman insists he won't need any settling in period after completing his permanent move from Middlesbrough.

The chirpy Chappy spent last season on loan Rovers and made a lasting impression on everyone connected with the club.

The 21-year-old says he kept in contact with the Rovers players after returning to the North East and was delighted to be reunited with them yesterday, as he signed on the dotted line.

Chapman admits it's nice not to be the 'new boy' at Brockhall and can't wait to get going with his team-mates, old and new.

"We've stayed in contact," said Chapman, when asked about the close-knit Rovers group.

"I stayed in contact with everyone really and obviously there's new lads now, so I can't wait to get involved with them and see what they're like and hopefully make more friends.

"The lads were buzzing when I told them I was coming back.

"As you saw from Danny (Graham) earlier, he was ecstatic and I love the guy to bits - he's so funny!

"It makes it a lot easier as well. Rather than walking in the door and everyone is brand new, the lads know me and I know the lads.

"Everyone involved at the club knows what I'm like as a person, I don't have to introduce myself, it just makes my life a lot easier."
