This week saw our Eurofit participants complete their programme and move forward with their new found vision on health.
The participants have gone through 12 weeks that have tested their psychological strength as well as their physical abilities and all have passed with flying colours.
Eurofit is a new lifestyle changing programme aimed at those that want to change their social interaction and improve their fitness.
Each week the group meet up in our Sports College classrooms to discuss lifestyle changes within their daily routine. Discussing matters open and honestly about their own diets and how to change that.
Under the guidance of our sports coaches the group find ways to tackle barriers, to indentify what goes in to foods and how to improve their diets overall.
The second part to the sessions sees the group use the open spaces and facilities that are available at Ewood Park.
Often using the concourses in and around the ground to perform the physical activities. The group have been put through their paces doing everything from walking football to boxing.
Hussain, a Eurofit regular in the programme, says it has inspired him to go further.
"I loved the boxing we did here a few weeks ago. I'd never tried boxing and never even thought about how much I could benefit from it.
"I'm now looking around in my local community to attend some boxing sessions on my own. The Eurofit programme has changed my outlook on how I use physical activity."
The group were presented with their certificates on completing the programme and will be invited to a future home match before the end of the season to celebrate their achievments.
