Rovers boss Tony Mowbray believes Reading's position in the Championship table is a little false, judging on what he's seen of them.
The Royals come into Wednesday night's clash in the bottom three, whilst Rovers will be aiming to shake Saturday's defeat to Bristol City out of their system by earning the points at the Madejski Stadium.
And discussing the attributes of Jose Gomes' side, Mowbray feels the Berkshire-based side have the quality to cause his Rovers team problems on the night.
"From my first viewings of them, they look like a pretty good football team, with some pace at the top end of the pitch," the boss told iFollow Rovers before heading south.
"I think they've only won one of their last 15, but they've had a couple of goalless draws and they beat Nottingham Forest 2-0 before that.
"We know that there's no easy games in this league and any away game is extra tough.
"We'll go there and give it our very best shot.
"We're mindful that after a good run throughout January we've lost the last two, so we'll try and get back on the horse and try to get the three points.
"They're a much different side (to the one we faced earlier in the season)."
