This season, we're introducing a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad.

The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.

Next up in A-Z is ‘Daz’ Lenihan, who talks biscuits, Roy Keane, Sports Science, snakes and much more!

A – AWAY -What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?

My favourite away ground would be St. James' Park when we beat them 1-0 when Charlie Mulgrew scored. It was unbelievable to silence 50,000 fans. It was a special moment.

B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?

No-one really! No, I'd have to go with either Charlie or Dacky. Charlie is a very good story-teller, whereas Dacky is more off the cuff. Stupid banter, but funny at the same time!

C – CLUB – What football team do you support?

I was a Manchester United fan. With Roy Keane playing, he was my biggest hero growing up. I still support them now, but my number one club at the moment would be Blackburn Rovers.

D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?

King prawns for starter, medium rare fillet steak with a few potatoes and some veg for main, and sticky toffee pudding for dessert.

E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?

I'm quite boring now. It depends how I'm feeling, but probably a quiet night in with the missus.

F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?

Either Dubai or Italy. I've been to Italy quite a few times with football and I've been to Dubai on holiday. I actually proposed to my missus in Saint Lucia, so that will always be a special place.

G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?

Either that Newcastle game at St. James' Park or my debut for Ireland, when I could have scored two goals! I can't choose between them.

H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?

I'm not big into golf like a few of the lads are. I wish I was, but since I hurt my back I can't really play. I like watching Formula 1 and the big boxing fights.

I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?

Roy Keane. It was a dream to play for my country and he was the assistant manager, so that was a special moment for me.

J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?

Not when I was younger. I'm actually doing a Sports Science degree at the moment, so after football I'll probably go into Sports Science or a physio role. That's what I'm interested in.

K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?

Mad! I used to call into every single neighbour's house asking for biscuits! My mum didn't know where I was half the time! I was harmless, just crazy!

L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?

Losing games! I'm a sore loser. Even in training, if we lose, I'd be going mad! If someone makes a mistake in training I let them know about it!

M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?

I'm into most things, except rock music. If I was to listen to something on a daily basis, it would probably be either Ed Sheeran or Drake. Those are my main two artists.

N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?

I used to get called Chucky, because I had loads of curls in my hair! Craig Conway, 'The Bull', his nickname sticks. Some of the boys call me Big Darren. And Daz. I don't know why they call me Daz, I hate that!

O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?

I've always had a dream about playing in the Premier League. And hopefully that's with Blackburn Rovers. If I could fulfil that dream I'd be very proud of myself.

P – PETS – Do you have any pets?

Yes, I have a pet Cocker Spaniel, called Penny. She's two in May. She's a lively dog, always wanting food. They call them the 'dustbin dogs' and that sums her up really.

Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?

This is a tricky one. I played with David Dunn and Tom Cairney, but I don't think I played with them for long enough. It has to be Dacky. He's a special talent and to come from Gillingham and make the step up like he has, it's tremendous.

R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?

Against, it would have to be George Baldock when he was at MK Dons. He ran me down the line and he just left me! That's the only experience I've had when someone has done that to me.

S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?

Probably Bradley Dack in our dressing room! I'm not going to go further on that ... I'll let the fans imagine what he gets up to!

T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?

I'm big on Netflix documentaries, based on true stories. I liked the Narcos one and I'm on the Ted Bundy series at the moment.

U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.

I haven't got any hidden talents. I'm not into superstitions. I always remember Jordan Rhodes walking out last. I think people just see me for who I am.

V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?

I used to love FIFA and Grand Theft Auto, and then when Call of Duty came out, but I wasn't big into that because I was terrible at it! Ben Brereton, Reedy, Arma they're big gamers, but I'm not anymore.

W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?

I'd love to go to the deep south in America. I've watched a couple of movies and I'd love to just take a car and drive the deep south, just to see what it's like.

X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?

No, I'm terrible at all musical instruments. The lads will probably rip me and say that I can play the fiddle, but I've never been good at that.

Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?

Snakes! One of my friends had a pet snake, only a small one, but I said if that comes near me I'm going to punch you! I was asleep and he brought it over to me and put it on my head and I just whacked it straight off and legged it down the stairs!

Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?

Pisces. I think I am. Am I? I was born on the 16th March. Yeah, I'm a Pisces.
