This season, we're introducing a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad

The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.

Next up in A-Z is Craig Conway, who discusses jobs, nicknames, childbirth and much more!

A – AWAY -What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?

I'd probably say Celtic Park, because I was a massive Celtic fan growing up. I've had a couple of good results there, but never scored there - I could never score against my boyhood team!

B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?

There's a few to be fair. Other than myself, I would say Charlie. Maybe I'm the only person that can understand his Scottish accent!

C – CLUB – What football team do you support?

Celtic. My dad used to go and I had a season ticket for about eight or nine years.

D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?

To start, I would go for a nice prawn cocktail. For main course, everybody goes steak, so I'll go for fajitas. And then for dessert, I would say sticky toffee pudding.

E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?

Night out. I'm not even going to apologise to my missus because she knows I wouldn't mean it anyway! Most of the lads bottle it and apologise to their missus, but I'm not going to do that.

F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?

Puerto Banus, near Marbella, in Spain. I go there every year. My family has always gone there for years and between us we rent an apartment over there, so we go there quite often.

G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?

Probably the 2010 Scottish Cup final for Dundee United when I scored two goals. The other big one was my debut for Scotland against Japan.

H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?

I'm really into property, so I do a bit of that. I'm also getting into golf and have started to have a few lessons. And I like playing pool.

I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?

Being a Celtic fan, I think either Henrik Larsson or Paolo Di Canio.

J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?

Where do I start?! I didn't take the traditional route to football. I've been a window cleaner, a hairdresser, a painter and decorator, I've worked in TK Maxx and I've done some commercial cleaning. All before I went full-time in football.

K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?

Probably a bit similar to what I'm like now. My mum always says I was a bit of a handful when I was younger. Not badly behaved, just a bit cheeky and full of beans.

L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?

I'd probably say people who don't get back to you. When people just ignore you, rather than just facing up to you and apologising for not getting back to you. I hate that!

M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?

House music. Obviously when we go to Marbella, that's the kind of music that gets played, so I'll say that.

N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?

There's a couple I can't mention! Jon Parkin was The Beast and literally in every way, he is a beast! It's his fault that I got nicknamed Bull as well. I was a little bit bulkier than what I am now. I used to do a bit in the gym and he said I was like a Pitbull at first and then it turned into Bull. And it's stuck since then.

O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?

I don't want to mention the age thing, but I just want to play as many games as I can and enjoy the rest of my career. And I think after everything that's happened at this club, Blackburn Rovers deserves to be back up in the Premier League and if I can be there for that then brilliant. I think we're definitely going in the right way for that.

P – PETS – Do you have any pets?

I've got a dog called Buster. A boxer. I've got to give a shout-out to Lisa, who looks after him quite a lot. She'll be buzzing with that mention, because she's a big Rovers fan as well!

Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?

The best player I've ever played with would either be David Dunn or Craig Bellamy. And I think Dacky has got a chance of being in that bracket. Against, you can take your pick from Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Xavi or Iniesta. I played against Barcelona in a pre-season friendly two years in a row. I couldn't say that I've played against Messi, because I wasn't on the pitch at the time, but he came on at half-time and scored a hat-trick, so he would definitely be in there otherwise.

R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?

Again, I'd probably say Craig Bellamy. He was 34 when I played with him and he was rapid then, so I can't imagine what he was like when he was in his prime. Currently, either Joe Rothwell or Amari'i Bell.

S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?

My wife giving birth. When I say strange, it's the best thing in the world. It's just so surreal. You always think what it's going to be like, but until you actually see it in front of your eyes, it's the maddest and strangest thing, but also the most amazing thing.

T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?

I don't really watch a lot of TV. My favourite is Entourage and I quite like the SAS thing that's on at the moment. I would quite fancy doing that!

U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.

The game against Northampton last season, Marcus Antonsson took the penalty and I just want to put on record that I never shirked away from taking it. Marcus took the ball and I didn't want to make a scene, but I regret that and I should just have pushed him out of the way and taken the ball. But 100%, I've never shied away from taking a penalty in my life and I never would.

V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?

Not now. Before the kids came along, I used to like playing Call of Duty, but I don't have the time now and I have more important things in my life.

W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?

I've always wanted to go to Australia. And also Singapore. My father-in-law stayed there for years and I never went out to visit and everybody tells me how good it is, so probably there and Australia. I'd maybe do both in one trip.

X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?

One of my mates who I used to go to school with was in a band and he used to be really good on the drums, so I gave that a go. I can't play them, I just like hitting them! It suits me perfectly, because it gets a bit of anger out!

Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?

I honestly don't. The only fear I've got is having regrets. I would hate to have regrets.

Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?

Taurus. I was born on May 2nd. Very loyal - that's what Taurus are.
