Programme preview: Derby County (H)

A look at what's inside our matchday programme against The Rams at Ewood Park this weekend

6 December 2019

Rovers' programme returns for this weekend's encounter against Derby County at Ewood Park.

A new season means new content, and this campaign we're aiming to interview every member of the 1994-95 Premier League-winning squad in every league issue.

For the clash against The Rams we sat down with former Rovers defender Henning Berg.

Henning appeared 296 times across a couple of spells with Rovers, 40 of which came in our memorable 1994-95 campaign. The Norwegian defender spoke to us from his home in Cyprus to reflect on our season to remember, discusses the influence of Jack Walker and Sir Kenny Dalglish on the squad, and tells us the brilliant story of how his move to Ewood Park came about, with the help of another former Rover in Tore Pedersen.

We also look back at what happened at this time back in 1994 during that memorable campaign under Sir Kenny, whilst profiling a former Rover from that campaign - this week it's Jason Wilcox.

Our Big Interview sees us sit down with Joe Rothwell. The 24-year-old playmaker reflects on his season so far, his first ever Rovers goal against this weekend's opponents last season and much more.

Ryan Nyambe is next up for our Football Origins feature, looking back on his firsts and favourites, whilst Bradley Dack is up for our new In The Kitbag piece.

In addition, there are updates regarding details of the match being our Queen's Lancashire Regiment Veterans Charity matchday, our Under-23s, Under-18s and Ladies teams, as well as the usual pieces with the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and news from around the club.

We get to know Under-23s forward Lewis Thompson a little better and get the lowdown on Under-18s midfielder George Wyatt and Ladies player Natasha Fenton.

There's plenty more inside our publication, which costs just £3, and you can purchase yours from our programme sellers dotted around Ewood Park.
