Rovers Ladies meet London City Lionesses in the FA Women’s Championship for the first time on Sunday.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of the game…

GAME DETAILS

It's a 2pm kick-off on Sunday 8th December at The Sir Tom Finney Stadium, Bamber Bridge FC.

STATE OF PLAY

Rovers were defeated 2-0 by Leicester City Women in their last league outing, with the Foxes leapfrogging Gemma Donnelly’s side in the table.

The Blues won their first home league game of the season against Crystal Palace two weeks ago thanks to goals from Serena Fletcher and Natasha Flint and will be looking to continue that form on Sunday.

OUR OPPONENTS

London City Lionesses have made a positive start to their first season in the Championship, having formed in the summer from Millwall Lionesses.

Interim manager John Bayer took over from Chris Phillips in October and has led the team into fourth in the table with 18 points from their opening nine games.

The Lionesses lost 2-1 at home to Sheffield United Women last weekend and are yet to draw a game this season (W6 L3).

TICKETS

Advanced tickets are available to buy from the Roverstore or by calling 01254 372000 up until Sunday. You can also buy tickets on the gate (cash only). Adults are priced at £5, concessions at £3 and juniors at £2.

CLUB SHOP

Our club shop will be selling a host of Rovers Ladies merchandise. You can find next to the turnstiles as you come into the ground. Or buy online at the Roverstore

MATCHDAY ACTIVITIES

McDonald’s are providing free face painting and fruit bags for our young fans. You can find them next to the main stand at Bamber Bridge!

We're also encouraging fans to turn up to the game in a Christmas jumper, Rovers scarf or hat, with children aged 5-11 able to take part in our pre-match activities on the pitch.

BAR & REFRESHMENTS

The bar will not be open for this game so no alcohol will be served. However, the refreshments bar will still be open from behind the goal, where you can get hot and cold drinks and food.
