Rovers Ladies can confirm that Danielle Gibbons, Charlotte Stuart and Lagan Makin have left the club.

All three played a key role in the quadruple winning side of 2018-19 that were promoted to the Championship.

Goalkeeper Gibbons, who replaced Alex Brooks as Rovers’ number one early on in the campaign, went on to make 11 clean sheets in all competitions last season.

The ex-Liverpool stopper returned from a broken finger injury sustained midway through the season to help Rovers lift four trophies and end the season on a high with play off final glory.

A summer signing from Bradford City, Stuart left her role as Player/Manager at the Yorkshire club to join Rovers and soon established herself in the backline.

The centre-back played 21 games in all competitions for the Blues before injury curtailed her season.

A product of the club’s youth system, pacey winger Makin came back for her third spell at the club in late 2017, joining from Fylde Ladies after starting her career at Rovers.

Last season she netted 16 goals from the left flank, winning back to back league, league cup and county cup trophies during her most recent spell.

We would like to thank all three players for their efforts during their time here and wish them well for the future.
