Greg Cunningham makes his debut for Rovers this evening as he starts at left back against Oldham Athletic in the first round of the Carabao Cup at Ewood Park.

Cunningham is one of 11 changes as Mowbray's men look to kick-start their campaign with progress in the competititon tonight on home turf.

Jayson Leutwiler starts in place of Christian Walton, whilst a new look back four sees Academy graduates in Ryan Nyambe, Matty Platt and Joe Grayson join Cunningham in defence.

The Richie Smallwood and Corry Evans partnership returns in midfield, whilst Danny Graham skippers the side up top.

A strong bench sees Bradley Dack, Joe Rothwell and Sam Gallagher all as options for Tony Mowbray, with Harry Chapman also making the first team squad for the first time this term.

Oldham have ex-Burnley flanker in Chris Eagles available on the bench as the League Two side look to get up and running for their campaign.
