Rovers head south as Tony Mowbray's side aim to kickstart their Championship campaign against recently relegated Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Like Rovers, Fulham suffered opening day defeat to a newly promoted team; suffering a narrow loss against Barnsley at Oakwell.

Mowbray will be boosted by the return of Derrick Williams to full training, with the Irishman missing all of pre-season due to a calf injury.

Countryman Greg Cunningham, who arrived on deadline day on a season-long loan from Cardiff City, could also be part of the squad that's travelled to the capital.

Elsewhere in defence, there could well be a debut for centre back Tosin Adarabioyo, who missed out on making the squad for last weekend's opening game against Charlton Athletic.

The clash against Scott Parker's side will be tough, with the big spending Londoners bringing in a number of high profile additions, including ex-Rover Harrison Reed, who arrived on deadline day.

Bobby Reid was also a capture on Thursday, with the striker expected to be up against old pals in Williams and Cunningham, who were both team-mates at Bristol City.

Similarly, Joe Bryan is another to have played for The Robins and he's set to start at left back.

Like Reed, another former Ewood Park regular is also on the books, with Tom Cairney likely to be playing in midfield for Parker's charges.

Cairney appeared on 85 occasions for Rovers in all competitions after signing from Hull City in the summer of 2013, before moving on to Fulham two years later.

Kick-off is at 3pm, and you can track all the action via iFollow Rovers and across our social media channels.
