The Development Squad return to action this evening when Billy Barr takes his youngsters south to tackle Brighton & Hove Albion Under-23s.
The clash, which takes place under the lights at Albion's AMEX Stadium, sees Barr needing to shuffle his pack following the suspension of two key players.
Matty Platt will miss out as he starts the first of a three-game ban following his dismissal in the home defeat to Wolves a week ago.
Similarly, Charley Doyle will miss out on the long trip to Sussex, having also seen red in the clash against Wolves last Friday night.
Doyle will only have a one-game ban, but that will mean an alteration in defence against The Seagulls, with both Louie Annesley and Sam Barnes in contention to fill the vacant positions in the backline.
Dominic Samuel is expected to be in the squad once again as he steps up his return to full fitness following a long-term knee injury.
The striker appeared for the first half against Wolves and will look to step up his game time this evening on the south coast.
Fellow first team pair Harry Chapman and Sam Hart are also expected to be involved, having not featured at Bramall Lane in the Carabao Cup in midweek.
Forwards Jack Vale and Danny Butterworth remain injury doubts for Rovers, who are still looking for their first Premier League 2 victory of the season.
Albion come into the game sitting fourth in the table, having won two and lost one of their opening three games of the season.
They will have been buoyed by their comprehensive victory away at Leicester City last time out, with Aaron Connolly, Peter Gwargis and Bojan Radulovic bagging the goals in a 3-0 win.
Kick-off this evening is at 7pm, and we will be providing updates from the game across our social media channels.
