'Good times ahead'

"I've got a responsibility here to do everything I can for the club and that's why I'm here."

Rovers new boy Greg Cunningham can't wait to start working under manager Tony Mowbray.

The left-back completed a late deadline day move to Ewood Park from Cardiff City, signing a season-long loan deal.

The former Preston and Manchester City defender, who has found football hard to come by with the Welsh outfit, is delighted to be back in the North West and can't wait to get started for his new club.

"I've had a chat with the manager and I'm really looking forward to working under him," said the 28-year-old.

"He spoke about how he wants the team to play and what he expects from me.

"I know that I've got a responsibility here to do everything I can for the club and that's why I'm here.

"I want to play games, I want to enjoy my football again and I really think I can do that here.

"When a club the calibre of Blackburn Rovers comes in, it's a no-brainer, so I'm over the moon to get it all done and dusted.

"I just want to get settled up in the area again and get going.

"I've had some good times up here and I'm looking forward to more good times."
