Young Rovers goalkeeper Andy Fisher has today joined Northampton Town on loan until January 2020.
The stopper will link up with fellow Academy graduate Scott Wharton at Sixfields Stadium, with The Cobblers currently sitting 19th in the League Two table.
The 21-year-old will remain with Northampton until Wednesday 1st January and has been granted permission to play in the Leasing.com Trophy.
The highly-rated young stopper, who put pen-to-paper on a fresh three-year deal with Rovers in the summer of 2018, spent part of last season on loan at non-league FC United of Manchester.
Fisher will be battling it out with David Cornell and Steve Arnold for the number one spot under Keith Curle.
The deal has gone through in time for Fisher to potentially make his Town debut in their game away at Colchester United at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
Good luck, Andy!
