Lewis Travis believes his link up with Bradley Johnson will blossom further with each game the pair play together.
The youngster, who has started both league games for Rovers in the league, has had an eye-catching partnership with the experienced ex-Derby County man, who arrived at Ewood Park on a free transfer in the summer.
The duo are at different stages of their careers, with Johnson having appeared over 400 times since making his debut in 2004, whilst Travis only became a regular in Tony Mowbray's side since the beginning of this year.
And the 21-year-old is looking forward to developing a better understanding with Johnson, who helped Derby reach the play-off Final last term.
“Bradley Johnson’s come in and got Man of the Match on his debut, and it's clear to everyone that he’s a fantastic addition to our squad," Travis admitted.
“He’s got bags of experience and whilst it will benefit the whole squad, it’ll be a massive help for me in particular.
“I’ll get the rewards from playing with him. I’ll learn from him not just in games, but every day in training as well," the Academy graduate added.
“Even on the training pitch I know I have things to work on. I’m sure he’s the same, but he’s got that experience of being an unbelievable player.
“Playing with him week in, week out, you need that understanding in a midfield partnership. I’m sure that understanding will get stronger with each game."
