Rovers can confirm the venue and a new date for the Under-23s’ final Premier League 2 fixture of the season away to Liverpool.

The game, which was originally scheduled to be played on Monday April 29th, will now take place at Anfield on Sunday April 28th, kick-off 4pm.

Rovers, who secured their Premier League 2 status with an impressive 3-1 victory over Manchester City last week, will be looking to complete a league double over Liverpool, having won the reverse fixture 2-1 at Leyland back in October, thanks to goals from Jacob Davenport and Jack Evans.

Damien Johnson’s side are currently enjoying a fine run of results, having won 12 of their last 16 games in all competitions, and will hope to end their Premier League 2 campaign with a third straight victory at Anfield this weekend.

Rovers’ young stars are in action in Merseyside this evening when they take on Everton at Goodison Park in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup (kick-off 7pm). It is FREE entry for all supporters.
