It turns out that Joe Rothwell goals for Rovers are a little bit like London buses, as he followed up his first conversion for the club against Derby County last week with a second strike against Nottingham Forest.
Rothwell's pearler just before the half hour mark got Rovers up and running at The City Ground, with Danny Graham bagging the match-winner in the second half.
And speaking afterwards, the 24-year-old admitted that the goal, just the 10th of his career, was also the best he's ever scored.
“It’s been a good couple of games for me, getting the goal and the result against both Derby and Nottingham Forest," the former Manchester United trainee confessed to iFollow Rovers post-match.
“I knew as soon as I hit it that it was going in. It felt so sweet and I didn’t end up watching it, I just went off to celebrate!
“It’s right up there and is probably the best goal I’ve ever scored to be honest.
“I don’t get many, but it’s something I’ve been keen to work on and hopefully there is more to come.
“I thought everyone, especially the back four, were magnificent at Forest. We got both the defensive and attacking side of things right.
“You need to have players to score at one end and players at the other end to keep the ball out."
