Rovers Ladies face Stoke City Ladies at Community Drive on Sunday, looking to record a fifth straight league victory.
Here’s our guide to the game…
STATE OF PLAY
Rovers came from two goals down at half-time to secure a 5-2 victory over Nottingham Forest Ladies last weekend. Goals from Saffron Jordan (2), Lynda Shepherd, Natasha Flint and Sophie Charlton secured victory.
That result keeps the champions 15 points clear at the top of the table, with two games in hand on Sunderland.
Gemma Donnelly’s side ran out 6-1 winners in the reverse fixture at Bamber Bridge back in October, with Saffron Jordan grabbing a hat-trick, Natasha Flint netting a brace and Ellie Stewart also getting on the scoresheet.
As always, we'll bring you team news and live updates on the game via social media. Fans can follow all the action on our official Twitter account, (@RoversLadies), with kick-off at Community Drive scheduled for 2pm.
Midfielder Hannah Walsh re-joins the first-team as she ineligble for the Development Team’s League Cup Final. Everyone else came through last weekend’s game and is fit and available.
Stoke City Ladies sit sixth in the table, with 33 points on the board after 22 games.
The Potters have a new management team since the last meeting between the two sides. First-team management team Tim Dudding and Tom Davies left by mutual consent, with Chloe Jones placed in interim charge since their departures.
Stoke are in poor form of late and haven’t won in 10 games in all competitions. They drew 2-2 at home to Fylde Ladies last time out to extend the winless run, which includes seven draws.
Stoke are running promotional ticket offers for the game, priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. Tickets are available on the gate.
