Rovers Development Squad know a win this evening against Manchester City's Under-23s will secure safety in the top tier of Premier League 2.

Following the eye catching victory away at Tottenham Hotspur last week, Rovers sit three points clear of the relegation zone in the division with only two games of the season remaining.

Rovers will be looking for revenge against City having suffered defeat when the two sides met in Manchester back in November.

In fine form, Damien Johnson's charges have a remarkable recent record, triumphing in 11 of their last 15 games in all competitions.

In terms of team news, despite being part of the travelling squad on Saturday at Nottingham Forest, both Harry Chapman and Jacob Davenport weren't involved in the first team squad and therefore may be available to Johnson tonight.

Joe Rankin-Costello is almost certain to play a part having shown some terrific form in recent weeks, playing slightly out of position at right back.

City could include £42m defender Eliaquim Mangala in their team after the centre back played for their Development Squad against Everton earlier this month.

With no first team home game until the end of the month, it's a great chance for fans to get their Ewood Park fix, all for free!

That's right, your entertainment for the evening is absolutely free of charge.

Access is via the Jack Walker Stand.

We look forward to seeing as many fans at the game as possible and back the boys to safety in Premier League 2!
