Rovers Under-23s take on Liverpool Under-23s in the final Premier League 2 Division 1 encounter of the season on Sunday.
Anfield is the venue for the clash, with Rovers looking for better fortunes on Merseyside having suffered a defeat to Everton in the quarter-finals of the Premier League Cup on Tuesday night at Goodison Park.
But the league form has been very good, with Damien Johnson’s side unbeaten in their last four domestic outings, winning three of those games.
Liverpool could include a number of players who triumphed in the FA Youth Cup Final against Manchester City earlier in the week, with a win potentially seeing them finish the season in second place, depending on Brighton & Hove Albion’s result against Chelsea next week.
Goals from Jacob Davenport and Jack Evans earned Rovers all three points against the Reds in an entertaining match at Leyland earlier in the season.
Depending on whether they’re involved in the first team squad at Norwich on Saturday night, the likes of Davenport, Harry Chapman, Dan Butterworth, Joe Nuttall and John Buckley could all feature at Anfield.
Please note, supporters, who will be located in The Kop, must collect or purchase a ticket from the Roverstore at Ewood Park or by calling the Ticket Office on 01254 372000 ahead of the game.
Tickets are priced at £3 for adults and £1 for concessions (under-17 and over-65). Season ticket holders can gain free entry, but must obtain a ticket in advance.
Supporters from both teams will not be able to purchase tickets on the day and will not be able to gain access into the stadium.
Tickets are on sale now and will be available from the Ticket Office at Ewood Park until 3pm on Saturday.
The game will take place at Anfield on Sunday April 28th, kick-off 4pm.
