It's a case of so far so good according to Tony Mowbray when dissecting his side's start to the season

Rovers have lost just twice all season in league and cup, and Tony has been pretty chuffed with his side's organisation in all areas of the pitch.

There have been four shutouts in that time and the team have found the net with regular occurance in both league and cup.

And the boss says he's happy with the quality on show from his side so far.

“Can we score goals? Can we keep clean sheets? Can we be competitive? We’ve done all of those things this season," he said when reflecting on the opening 12 games in all competitions this term.

“The players have enjoyed the challenges and the work we’re putting in and training is going really well.

“We knew this run would be tough and the players have given a good account of themselves. There are plenty of positives from these opening games.

“We’re taking things game by game. We’re not even 10 games into the league campaign yet.

“We’ve played Ipswich, who had a new manager and new players, but have also played the likes of Derby, who have a new manager, a high quality team and who have spent a bit of money as well.

“Stoke City are another, who have come down from the Premier League, a similar sort of team to Derby. I can also think of Brentford, who will have aspirations of finishing in the top six this season," Mowbray added.

“We’ve had a balance of games and have done alright and we’ve spoken about turning a few of those draws into wins. I hope the draws aren’t something of a trend for us this season."
