Rovers defender Jack Doyle has today joined Maidstone United on a three-month loan.

The 21-year-old left-back will remain with the Vanarama National League side until December 22nd.

A product of Rovers’ Academy, Doyle made two first team appearances under manager Tony Mowbray at the start of last season.

The young full-back came on as a substitute in the 3-1 victory away to Coventry City in the Carabao Cup, before making his first start in the 1-0 victory over Stoke City U21s in the opening Checkatrade Trophy group game.

Doyle spent the second half of last season on loan at League of Ireland Premier Division club Derry City, where he made 20 appearances.

He will now hope to gain further first team experience with the Kent club, who make the short trip to Braintree Town this weekend.
