Jack Rodwell finally made his Rovers first team debut on Tuesday night and Tony Mowbray was pleased with what he saw from the former Everton and Manchester City player.
Rodwell, who signed for the club last month, has made good progress in recent weeks, and following a run out for the Under-23s last Monday against Arsenal, was rewarded with a first team opportunity at Bournemouth.
The 27-year-old showed glimpses of his quality, calmness and composure on the ball, playing in a midfield role against the Cherries.
And Mowbray was content with the former England international's performance at the Vitality Stadium.
“I’m pleased for Jack. It’s good that he’s back," Mowbray said after the game.
