Rovers number one David Raya believes the team should relish the challenge on Tuesday night when we take on Premier League side AFC Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.
Following victories against Carlisle United and Lincoln City in the earlier rounds, the Cherries will provide a much sterner test for Tony Mowbray's side in round three of the competition.
Eddie Howe's side have had a good start to the season but suffered a big defeat at the weekend, whilst Rovers were triumphant at Stoke City.
Rovers have had a good start to life back in the Championship; losing just once in league and cup competitions so far.
And Raya says that the way Rovers saw out the latest game at the bet365 Stadium against Stoke showed everyone what the team are all about.
“It was intense and we didn’t make it easy for ourselves in the end after dominating for the majority of the game. Everybody fought hard and we got the result in the end," David added.
