Tony Mowbray has highlighted the importance of Danny Graham following the striker's impressive showing against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

Although he didn't find the net, he came close in each half before setting up Bradley Dack's sixth goal of the season.

And whilst disappointed to only take a draw from the game against Aitor Karanka's side, Mowbray believes the impact from the striker was a huge positive for Rovers.

"If he wasn't fit, he wouldn't be able to do the mileage he's doing and the work-rate he's putting in," Tony said about the striker to iFollow Rovers.

"Danny's from a real working-class environment in the North East and he understands and is bright enough to know that if he wants to play with this coach, he needs to work hard and stay fit and not get himself into a comfort zone.

"I think he's a massive footballer for our team. At 32, coming up to 33, I'm not sure he can play three games every week, but at this moment I think teams will have a big sigh of relief if he's not on the teamsheet.

"At this moment we need Danny Graham and he's working extremely hard, but he needs to keep his foot hard to the pedal and keep going."
