Rovers' goalkeeper coach Ben Benson has thanked those who turned out for last week's popular coaching sessions.

Over 50 aspiring keepers attended the event at Brockhall Village - hoping to one day follow in the footsteps of Rovers no.1 David Raya - and took tips from our first-team coach.

Reflecting on the event, Benson was delighted to see so many youngsters take part, and says the sessions are an important part of the club's strategy.

"Following on from the recent goalkeeping open evening, yet again we were delighted with the turnout," he said.
"Although earlier in the calendar than previous events, we were delighted to have over 50 goalkeepers in attendance.
"Firstly, it was great to see new and old faces, which shows us how well attended and highly thought of these evenings have become.
"Secondly, I would like to thank the parents and players for their continued support, as without them these nights could not be possible.
"I mention every time the importance of these evenings as part of our long-term goalkeeping development strategy.
"These evenings, alongside our goalkeeping development centre and academy goalkeeping program, are a vital platform for giving players the opportunity to represent Rovers for years to come."
