Following an unbeaten August, Tony Mowbray has been nominated for the Manager of the Month award.
Draws against Ipswich Town, Millwall and Reading, and victories over Hull City and Brentford meant Rovers had a solid first month back in the Championship, rising to 5th in the table by the end of the month.
Rovers could have earned more points in the month, with a late equaliser on the opening day at Portman Road against Ipswich denying a three-point haul against the Tractor Boys.
Mowbray will be up against table-topping Leeds United boss Marcelo Bielsa, Bolton Wanderers' Phil Parkinson and experienced Middlesbrough chief Tony Pulis for the top prize.
The winner will be announced on Friday 7th September, with the judging panel comprising of ex-Ipswich boss George Burley, Sky Sports’ EFL League expert Don Goodman, EFL Marketing Director Drew Barrand, League Managers’ Association Director Olaf Dixon and Sky Bet EFL Trader Mikey Mumford.
Mowbray has history of Manager of the Month awards and triumphed in November 2017 during our excellent month in League One.
