Rovers boss Tony Mowbray has revealed that attacking pair Dominic Samuel and Ben Gladwin are likely to miss the rest of the season through injury.
Samuel picked up an injury against former club Reading last month, with scans showing an issue with his anterior cruciate ligament.
Gladwin hasn't played since the back end of 2017 with a troublesome knee injury, and Mowbray expects to be without both players for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign.
“We have some long-term injuries with Dominic Samuel and Ben Gladwin being out, but generally the board that I pick players from looks strong and with plenty of quality," Tony said to iFollow Rovers on Thursday.
“It’s tough for Ben and Dominic. Neither of them are going to play this season I would suggest. It’s a tough road, a long road, but after the operations they know their recovery starts then.
"They’ll be coming in, working in the gym, being in and around the lads, which is important. They will have some long days trying to get fit."
But the boss has added that it's important to keep the duo's spirits high, something he intends to do by totting up positive results on the pitch.
“It’s a tough life being injured and away from the team. I wish them well, we’ll support them and hopefully there will be some positivity and feel good factor around the club because we’re winning games."
