This season, we're introducing a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad.

The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.
First in the hot seat for A-Z is right-back Ryan Nyambe, who tells us about his singing qualities, career goals and much more!
A – AWAY - What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?
I’d probably have to say Newcastle away. Even though I was on the bench, it was a great experience as we scored last minute to get the three points. I was young then, the stadium was full and the atmosphere was amazing.
B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?
We have quite a few in the squad. I’ll go for Bradley Dack. There’s no particular reason, it’s just the way Dacky is!
C – CLUB – What football team do you support?
I support Manchester United. I’m from Manchester so it’s always been my team.
D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?
Probably a bowl of leek and potato soup for starter, go to Nando’s for my main and then have sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?
It’s got to be a night out with the lads. There’s always good banter flying with the lads.
F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?
I love Dubai. It’s nice and hot and it’s more like a resort out there.
G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?
I’d probably say Liverpool in pre-season. It was a really good test against some good players and I felt I did well.
H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?
Mainly I like to play FIFA and don’t mind going out with my friends.
I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?
I started out as a centre back so I admired Rio Ferdinand. Right now I look at Kyle Walker and see what he does that could help my game.
J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?
I’ve never had another job, but if I wasn’t a footballer then I’d definitely involved in sport somehow. I’d maybe be a Sport Scientist. That department really interests me.
K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?
Pretty much how I am now. I was quiet, kept myself to myself and enjoyed sport. I was pretty energetic as a kid.
L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?
Waiting around. There are a few lads here who like to take their time. No names though… okay, Darragh Lenihan and Joe Nuttall are the main culprits!
M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?
I like hip-hop. My favourite tune is Drake - The Motto. He’s a good guy, Drake.
N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?
I was called The Beast as a youngster when I was in the youth team here. There are a couple here with a few odd nicknames. Lewis Hardcastle is called Itchy and Craig Conway is called Bull.
O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?
To play to my potential, be the best pro I can be and to play at the highest level.
P – PETS – Do you have any pets?
I have no pets at the moment, but I want a dog. I am after a German Shepherd.
Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?
The best I’ve played against is Serge Gnabry. He gave me a tough time and I learnt a lot from playing against him. I think he’s part of the German national team and is Bayern Munich at the moment. The best I have played with is Charlie Mulgrew and Bradley Dack.
R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?
Josh King was very quick when I played alongside him. Against would be Serge Gnabry again.
S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?
There’s quite a few strange things. I remember driving in Wythenshawe one night and just saw a guy laying with his bike. It was late at night and I remember thinking it was a bit odd!
T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?
I’m into Power at the moment. It’s very interesting. Sometimes I do like a comedy and I’ll normally watch Family Guy.
U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.
I sometimes sing at church. I go to church as often as I can on Sundays and I do get involved in the choir. The lads don’t know and have never asked so I’ve never told them!
V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and how often do you play it?
I own a PS4. I don’t play it a lot. I only play with my friends when we have a FIFA tournament. I like Far Cry and I do enjoy Call of Duty. I’m looking forward to the new one coming out.
W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?
I’d like to go to China. I’ve heard great things about the place.
X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?
I don’t, but I’d perhaps like to play the guitar.
Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?
Not really, no.
Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?
I don’t know! What are they? My birthday is December 4th so what’s that? (Ed: You’re a Sagittarius.)
