This season, we're introducing a new feature, bringing Rovers fans that bit closer to members of the current first-team squad.

The idea is simple: 26 questions, one for each letter of the alphabet, with subjects ranging from the players' favourite holiday destinations to the strangest things they've ever seen.
Next in the hot seat for A-Z is Dominic Samuel, and this one's well worth a read!

A – AWAY - What is your favourite away ground that you've played at?

It’s got to be Old Trafford. I played there during my time at Reading. The atmosphere, the stadium, it was fantastic. You realise what it would take to play there week in, week out.

B – BANTER – Who's got the best banter in the squad?

Dacky. He’s just stupid. He’s a funny lad and has stupid banter that makes people laugh. David Raya has the worst. Some of his jokes just don’t make any sense!

C – CLUB – What football team do you support?

Chelsea. I’ve supported them from a young age and I think it runs in my family.

D – DINING – What would be your last three-course meal?

I’d start with calamaris, have spaghetti carbonara with garlic bread for the main, chocolate fudge cake with vanilla ice cream for dessert.

E – EVENINGS – A quiet night in or a night out with the lads? Why?

It’d have to be a night out. I do enjoy going round my friends’ and playing FIFA and Call of Duty though, so maybe a bit of both actually.

F – FOREIGN – What's your favourite holiday destination and why?

It’s got to be Vegas. The nightlife is crazy out there. The pool parties are very good as well.

G – GAME – What's been your favourite football game you've ever played in?

It’s got to be against Man United during my time at Reading. The whole experience was brilliant.

H – HOBBIES – What do you like to get up to away from football?

I like to do a bit of shopping and go to the cinema with the missus. I enjoy complete relaxation away from football to be honest.

I – IDOL – Who was your favourite footballer as a youngster and why?

Thierry Henry. He was like me in being very quick and liking to play off the shoulder. He was a good finisher as well - he had it all.

J – JOBS – Have you had any other jobs aside from playing football?

No, it’s only ever been football for me.

K – KID – What were you like as a young boy?

I was a bit of a trouble-maker. I was always the joker of the class. I still am, to be honest, and I doubt that will ever come out of me.

L – LOATH – What annoys you the most and why?

Waiting for Dacky. He tells me he will be two minutes when really he’s nearer to 20 minutes. That gets annoying!

M – MUSIC – What sort of music are you into and what's your favourite ever tune?

I’m into my rap music. I like Young Thug and Migos. My favourite song has to be Migos – Bad and Boujee.

N – NICKNAME – What's the best nickname you've come across in your footballing career?

There have been none that are that memorable. There are a few nicknames that we say in the dressing room but they’re a bit too explicit for this!

O – OPTIMISM – What would you like to achieve in your career?

Ideally I’d like to play in the Premier League for at least three to four years. I’d like to win the Premier League and the Champions League.

P – PETS – Do you have any pets?

I don’t have any pets, but I’d like a dog. I want a Rottweiler. I’ve always loved those dogs and I think this time next year I’ll get one.

Q – QUALITY – Who's the best player you've ever played with or against and why?

I’ve not played against that many big players in my career, but I remember playing against Paul Pogba during that game against Manchester United. He has quick feet, knows his surroundings and has quality with his right and left foot.

R – RAPID – Who's the quickest player you've played with or against?

I’ll give him a bit of confidence by saying Amari’i Bell. He thinks he’s quicker than me, but he’s definitely not!

S – STRANGE – What's the strangest thing you've seen in your life?

I wouldn’t say he’s strange, but I’ll go with Ryan Nyambe on a daily basis! He talks about twice all day and that’s his lot. I’ve never come across a player who doesn’t talk! Strange is harsh, but I just find it odd. Sorry, Ryan!

T – TELEVISION – What do you like to watch on the TV and why?

Power. It’s a very good TV series on Netflix and I always like getting home to watch it.

U – UNKNOWN – Tell us something that people don't know about you.

I’m probably the nicest boy people will ever come across. I have the London look, but I’m probably the nicest person anyone will meet. I’m very caring and loveable person! (Ed: Very modest of you!)

V – VIDEO GAMES – Do you own a games console and if so how often do you play it?

I own a PS4 and play it once a week. Fortnite and Call of Duty are the games I like playing the most.

W – WORLD – Where would you most like to visit in your life?

Good question. I’d probably say Australia. I’m into sharks ever since seeing a Great White Shark leaping out of the sea. It was caught on the news over there, went viral and it just fascinated me.

X – XYLOPHONE – Can you play any musical instruments?

I’m good at the piano. I can play the Eastenders theme song on it.

Y – YIKES – Do you have a fear of anything?

Spiders. I’m terrified of any spider, big or small.

Z – ZODIAC – What's your star sign?
