Tony Mowbray says Darragh Lenihan is one of a number of players who will be assessed ahead of the weekend trip to West Bromwich Albion.

Lenihan limped off with what looked like a hip injury just 10 minutes into the clash against Swansea City on Tuesday night.

Jack Rodwell replaced the Republic of Ireland international, and Mowbray has revealed Lenihan isn't the only doubt for Saturday's trip to the Midlands.

“We’ll see how we are for Saturday as there are a lot of tired limbs in there," the former West Brom boss told iFollow Rovers after the game.

“We’ll rest tomorrow and then prepare for West Brom and be as positive as we can. We’ll see how we get on.

“It’s too early to say on Darragh. He has a sore hip and felt it was too sore to carry on.

“It’s not just Darragh - we have a few knocks. We have to soldier on and it’s about the depth of your squad now.

“Some players have been waiting for their chance and that opportunity might be just around the corner for them."
