Charlie Mulgrew was a happy man at the weekend, and it's obvious to see why that was.
A narrow win away from home, against a local rival pushed Rovers on the cusp of the play-offs in the Championship table.
And as a defender, the clean sheet is an added bonus for the skipper.
“We take satisfaction from the clean sheet. If we can pass the ball better then things will continue to improve for us," the centre back reflected to iFollow Rovers.
“We didn’t let too many chances get through us, and as a team, as a unit, we can take a lot of pleasure for that clean sheet."
More than 2,000 supporters made the short trip south to the University of Bolton Stadium, and Charlie admits the players are "fighting for them".
“The fans were class for us again. We can’t thank them enough, and it’s something the boys have spoken about a lot in the dressing room. They’ve been brilliant for us, especially last season," the skipper added.
“We’re thankful for their backing and we’re fighting for them and doing our best for them.
“There’s a bond there and we want to return the favour by playing well for them and winning games, because they are there for us at all times."
