Scotland call for Mulgrew

Rovers skipper hoping for caps 39 and 40 for his country later this month against Israel and Portugal

Rovers skipper Charlie Mulgrew has been named in the Scotland squad to face Israel and Portugal later this month.

Alex McLeish's side face off against Israel in Haifa on Thursday 11th October as they aim to continue their perfect start in their quest to secure a play-off spot for UEFA Euro 2020.

The Scots will then take on a star-studded Portugal side that is likely to include Cristiano Ronaldo in a friendly at Hampden Park on Sunday 14th October.

Mulgrew will be aiming to earn caps 39 and 40 for his country by playing a part in the double-header.
