Six goals without reply secured progress into the semi-finals of the Lancashire Senior Cup at the expense of Blackpool.
The goals were shared around, with John Buckley, Jack Vale, Joe Grayson, Okera Simmonds and Jack Evans all finding the net on the day.
Jacob Davenport stepped up his return from injury with another outing, whilst Paul Downing and Lewis Travis also started against the Tangerines.
The visitors included two former Rovers in John O'Sullivan and Chris Taylor in their side, alongside experienced frontman Steven Davies and Sheffield United loanee Ben Heneghan.
Rovers started strongly and after just a couple of minutes a Grayson inswinging corner was deflected in off a Blackpool man to hand the hosts the perfect start at Brockhall Village.
Five minutes later and it was 2-0 thanks to a wonderful run and finish from Buck, who beat a couple of opponents before flicking home with the outside of his right boot from inside the box.
The Seasiders searched for a response and moments later Andy Fisher produced a fine stop to beat away Joe Dodoo's first time effort after Ryan McLaughlin's cut back.
At the other end, a flowing move ended with the rampaging Evans clipping the post before Rovers were awarded a penalty.
Some more neat play saw Buckley's pass find Stefan Mols, who was hacked down in the box. Up stepped captain Grayson, who sent goalkeeper Myles Boney the wrong was from the spot.
That was how the scoreline stayed at half time, before Rovers upped the ante in the second half.
Just 10 minutes into the half and Rovers made it 4-0 as Evans ball into the box found Vale, who swept home from close range to really kill the game off.
Rovers kept going and 10 minutes later it could have been 5-0 as an excellent Grayson free kick was flicked onto the upright and away by Charley Doyle.
Substitute Simmonds then made an instant impact from the bench as his free kick took a huge deflection before looping into the net with 15 minutes remaining.
Simmonds could have grabbed another goal a couple of minutes later but scooped over the bar after another pinpoint pass from Evans.
Wave after wave of attacks kept coming and after Brad Lyons curled just over, another substitute in Dan Butterworth was brought down in the box but saw his penalty crash against the post and away.
But two minutes later, a cross from the right was headed home at the back post by Evans to secure a comfortable win and passage to the next round.
