Nearly 100 children enjoyed a half-term treat at the Blackburn Rovers Indoor Centre as club captain Charlie Mulgrew and U23 star Joe Grayson made a guest appearance at the Community Trust's Football and Activity Camps.

There was a frenzy of excitement within the indoor sports facility at Ewood Park as the pair took a look at artwork designed by the Activity Camp participants, answered questions and checked out the skills on show at the Football Camp and signed plenty of autographs all round - not to mention posing for photos galore!

It has been a hugely successful week for the two Blackburn Rovers Community Trust camps, with the player visit capping off a very popular five days of activities. The 'sold out' signs went up on the first two days of the Football Camp, with the remaining three days all coming within a couple of places of achieving the same feat.

The Activity Camp has also been running at close to capacity throughout the week, with a Halloween special on Friday ending the half term break in style, as most of the youngsters attended in fancy dress and created some spectacular self-written role plays on a ghosts and ghouls theme.

The fun - aimed at primary school children aged five to 11 - has now been enjoyed for the final time in 2018, with all eyes now turning to the first holiday periods in 2019.

A special three-day edition of both camps has been confirmed for Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th January, with bookings opening within the next few days via the [Community Trust website] (www.brfctrust.co.uk) or by calling 01254 508256.

Confirmation of the start of the booking period will be announced via the Community Trust's Facebook  and Twitter pages as soon as the order forms are live.
